Religious Sisters . . .
The Little Company of Mary was founded by Venerable Mary Potter in Hyson Green, Nottingham, England on 2 July 1877 to honour the Mother of God, imitating her Maternal Heart. Our Congregation takes its name and spiritual model from the ‘little company’ that stood with Mary at the foot of the cross on Calvary. As Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, we are called to be her companions: one with her in mind and heart, as we live our lives with and for Christ. We are women who make visible His healing love by our prayer, presence, compassion and care for those around us, particularly those in need, especially the sick and the dying.

Sr. Monica and Sr. Margaret are resident at the Cathedral and are involved in hospital visiting, sacristy work, parish visiting, catechetics and spiritual development. Ven. Mary Potter's remains were brought from Rome to be buried in St. Barnabas Cathedral in Nottingham in 1997. Her tomb can be visited by those visiting the Cathedral.

The Presentation Sisters, also known as the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (PBVM for short) are an order of women founded in Cork, Ireland in 1775. Sr. Philomena Rooney, Sr Bernadette Healey and Sister Treasa Ridge are resident at St Augustine's. They are Presentation Sisters and involved in the Becket school, St Augustine's Parish and the catechetical work of the Central Nottingham Catholic Community.
