St Barnabas Arts and Crafts

Our group came together in 2018. We have a diverse range of skills which include needle work, quilting, embroidery, crochet, knitting, beading, jewellery making, soft toy making, fine art and craft including clay and plaster work, calligraphy, design ... and more!

We were initially commissioned to produce the banners which now hang in the Cathedral as part of the 175th anniversary celebrations. They have been very successful, highly acclaimed and we are very proud of them. We have also held an artisan market and sold our hand crafted work there, and at other Cathedral events.

We are a small, friendly group who work alone and collaboratively using our varied skills and talents to achieve great results. At the time of writing, we meet on Monday mornings in the Ellis Room but this can change from time to time, so if you are considering joining us and have some art or craft skills to share, check first with the Cathedral office.

Keep your eyes open for us, we are currently planning events for the coming year!
