You Are Living Stones

Parishioners are encouraged to complete the questionnaire for the Bishop’s consultation on the parochial structure of the Diocese of Nottingham, You are Living Stones.

This will affect St. Barnabas and every parish in the Diocese, and all parishioners are asked by the Bishop to read the document, reflect upon it and discuss it among themselves and with their parish priests. The questionnaire is a valuable opportunity to support the Bishop in making future decisions regarding the Diocese.

The You Are Living Stones document, outlining the purpose and procedure of the consulation can be downloaded via the link below.

StB Bulletin – Sixth Sunday of Easter

Welcome!

Welcome to St Barnabas Cathedral, Nottingham.

Nottingham Cathedral, consecrated and dedicated to St Barnabas on 27th August 1844, was at that time the largest Catholic Church completed in England since the Reformation.

From its very inception – through the courage and vision of Father Robert Willson, the genius of A W Pugin, and the generosity of its benefactors – it has proved to be a magnificent witness of the presence of Christ and His Church in Nottingham and throughout the Diocese.

The Rt. Rev Malcolm McMahon OP, Bishop of Nottingham
