Pentecost Sunday
Mass with the Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated at 11.30am
The Solemnity of Pentecost Sunday takes place fifty days after Easter. It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other disciples following the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ, and it marks the beginning of the Church's mission to the world. Bishop Patrick will be administering the Sacrament of Confirmation to our young people, and also to others joining us from around the Diocese. Therefore next Sunday, the 11.15am Mass will be pushed back to commence at 11.30am, to allow us more time to prepare between the two Masses.
