The Cathedral Church of St Barnabas is a Grade II* listed building in the heart of Nottingham City Centre.
Step in from the city and take a moment. Our doors are open every day, 7am to 7pm: come in, light a candle, sit quietly or simply look around. No strings attached.
The Cathedral Church of St Barnabas was designed by A.W.N. Pugin and dedicated in 1844. It became a cathedral in 1850, when the Diocese of Nottingham was founded, and it is the Mother Church of the diocese: the church where Bishop Patrick McKinney, the tenth Bishop of Nottingham, has his seat.
For more than 180 years people have found their way here, to pray, to come to Mass, to hear the choir, and now to watch Pugin's colours come back to life. Whatever brings you, come and see for yourself.
