Guided tours on the Cathedral's architecture and furnishings.

Join us as we celebrate Heritage Open Days 2026 with FREE guided tours of the Cathedral.

Be amongst the first to see the stunning decorations designed by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin, widely acknowledged as the father of the Victorian Gothic Revival, recreated through The National Lottery Heritage Fund ‘Restoring Pugin’ project.

Learn more about Pugin, the Cathedral, its architecture, decoration, symbolism, and role in Nottingham’s past and present.

Tours are available:

Friday 11th from: 2pm to 5pm

Saturday 12th from: 11am to 5pm

Sunday 13th September from: 1pm to 5pm

Sunday 13th September ~ Cantonese Tour from: 2.15pm

Weekdays from: 10am to 12noon and 2pm to 5pm

Saturday 19th September from: 11am to 5pm

Saturday 19th September ~ Cantonese Tour from: 2.15pm

Sunday 20th September from 2pm to 5pm

No tours on Sunday mornings

Other activities include: 

Saturday 12th September: 12.30pm to 5pm - Family Craft Workshop

Tuesday 15th September: 2.00pm to 3.00pm - British Sign Language tours

Wednesday 16th September: 11.00am to 12.00noon - Stencilling Techniques in Restoration (demonstrations)

Wednesday 16th September:  2.00pm to 3.00pm - Gilding Techniques (demonstrations)

Saturday 19th September: 12.30pm to 5pm - Family Craft Workshop

Display of vestments designed by Pugin will be available during all tour times
